Students with Specific Needs
BISLA is striving to accommodate a variety of students with different needs and improve its inclusivity policies. One of the ways we are doing this is that students have the right to apply for the status of a student with specific needs after enrolling, regardless of class year. However, they will need to do so at the beginning of an academic year.
If you would need such a status, the first step you need to do is to contact the Undergraduate Studies Coordinator or the Registrar’s Office. They will guide you through the process of submitting the appropriate request forms for the assessment of specific needs, individual adaptations, and support services. At the same time, you will need to submit the accompanying documents — a medical certificate and/or a certificate from a center for educational and psychological counseling. You can find all the necessary documents below.
Based on these documents, the Undergraduate Studies Coordinator will prepare a recommendation for granting the status of a student with specific needs to the Rector. By the Rector’s decision, you will receive status with specific needs based on which support services will be provided to you. The individual approach based on this status does not reduce the academic standards of the study program.
